When Tearle saw the Peregrine girl , her name is Zared . From the first look , he discovered that she is a girl , from her eyes . And he felt that he liked her .
Many events will happen after this and we will discover through reading , how the relationship between Zared and Tearle will end . Will Zared love Tearle back ? Will they marry ?

The book was in extremely good condition for a large print but was without a dustcover and I was disappointed with that. But I highly recommend this book.
I was so happy with this book. I went through so many emotions as I read sad, mad, excited, you get the idea. The ending leaves you most satisfied. The only thing I wish, is for more of the ending of the book to go on. You will be most pleased. Pick this one up, you wont be disappointed.
Jude Deveraux is amazing and well worth the read, her stories grab you and keep you!
The Conquest is a pretty good book but it move too slow in the middle. I think Tearle is a nice guy while Zared is a strong girl but still lovely. I am confuse about his family because I thought his brother have children with his wife Jeanne. In The Taming I remember it say that Jeanne and Oliver have a son but in the conquest it say that they have no children. Maybe someone can help me understand it better.
I am in love with Jude Deveraux's books! This one was just ok for me.. Maybe even less.. I probably wouldn't read it again. I just felt that Zared was too much of a tom boy. Some of the things the hero would say about how Lady Anne was sooo much more beautiful but there's something about Zared that he wants.. He called her underdeveloped at a point.. Then Zared would not shut up about the family feud.. There were points in the book where Jude could have left some of that out, it kind of annoyed me.

I am reading The Taming now, so maybe I'll feel differently after reading that book..
